OUR STORY
Where we started, where we're going
2018 Our birth CykaDev started as a joke with the creation of a parodic mod for Doki Doki Literature Club: Doki Doki Do You Lift Club. It quickly evolved into something bigger thanks to the release of both DDRC and DDNE.
2019 New horizons After leaving the DDLC modding scene, we started heading toward new horizons with the announcement of our very own visual novel, Seikatsu: A Frail Existence.
2021 Trouble in paradise Due to personal and professional reasons, all activity related to CykaDev came to a stop. Our projects were not cancelled, but there were no news for a very long time.
2023 New year, new me After a lengthy hiatus, CykaDev came back with an identity change and new project ideas. That's where we're at right now, but there's still a long road ahead!

thepudz It’s no small thing to say CykaDev’s works have changed my life. Doki Doki Rain Clouds came to me at an extremely dark point in my life and it was like a warm embrace in that time. I saw myself through the perspective of Sayori, and I finally felt like I wasn’t alone. Despite all the darkness of that mod, it had small yet beautiful moments such as the trip with Yuri that made me want to live those moments in my life to the fullest. I will forever be thankful to that mod and CykaDev’s works.

trice I joined this community 4 years ago, and I am probably the most active member. I've met some of my best friends here - I don't know what life would be like without them. DDNE, DDRC and the people I've met in this server got me to start writing myself. I'm part of a gamedev team now, when before I had no productive hobbies of my own. You've genuinely improved my life by a whole lot, I really have to thank you for that.

KahnKoyote CykaDev's community welcomed me after the shock that Doki Doki Literature Club and, more specifically, Doki Doki Rainclouds, were to me. As I myself was struggling with depression at the time, meeting other people who had the same interests as me and who brought me laughs and joy certainly helped me go through that phase. CykaDev and its members/community will always have a soft spot in my heart. Thank you guys <3
